The Ramayana is an old Sanskrit epic which pursues Prince Rama’s mission to protect his darling spouse Sita from the grasp of Ravana with the assistance of a multitude of monkeys. It is customarily ascribed to the initiation of the sage Valmiki and dated to around 500 BCE to 100 BCE.
